“There is no problem communication cannot solve.”
YES Institute’s unique approach to education and interaction is based on a communication model that can effectively engage the entire community by including all viewpoints. This model is infused in every part of our work, and is responsible for all our success.
The purpose of Communication Solutions™ is to have you well grounded in the model of communication YES Institute uses to accomplish our mission, and give you access to having your voice be a powerful tool for producing results and having relationships work.

The taboo of speaking about gender and orientation has allowed fear and misinformation to dominate our culture. Because silence has persisted for so long, people do not know how to talk about these topics. Initiating dialogue is the most important part of our mission and one thing everyone can do to make a difference for all youth.
This communication model:
- Can be applied to any situation where teamwork and communication break down over positions of right and wrong.
- Allows people to relate authentically and openly share beliefs and fears usually withheld in public discussions.
- Moves people beyond positions of right and wrong, and gives them access to generating actions and producing win/win results.
- Is not based on a need to agree.
- Begins to dissolve fears and produce actions to protect all youth.
Practical exercises and theoretical presentations on the first day give speakers access to the concepts of our model, including relating authentically and responding with generosity. On day two, participants practice the new model to experience generating powerful dialogue without fear of controversy or confrontation.
