  This workshop examines the gender rules of our culture and highlights the powerful influence it has in our lives. Exploring gender myths, facts, and stereotypes gives participants access to conceptualizing a new gender paradigm and expanding possibilities for self-expression. The concepts of transgender and intersex are also explored, as biology, gender identity, and sexual orientation are examined distinctly. An interactive PowerPoint® presentation constructs stunning visuals and time-period photography that elicits interactive discussion and participation. The clinical component offers practical skills and explores the current strategies for counseling transgender and intersex clients and families. 

Workshop Duration

This workshop contains eight (8) hours of in-class time for a total of seven (8) continuing education credits (CEU) as mandated by the Florida Dept. of Health standards. *
