YES Institute began as a community project, and has evolved into a thriving non-profit organization with international reach. Leadership in Action presents the core principles that have made YES Institute a breakout success.
Many people begin new projects with great ideas, lots of passion, and tremendous efforts. The drive to make a difference is invigorating and inspiring. Often, however, people become inhibited by fear, or stopped by obstacles. Some are highly effective in one area, but not in others, and don’t know why. Leadership in Action provides the keys to getting in action, producing results, and being an extraordinary leader.
This course unravels the myth that enormous effort is the main ingredient for success, and demonstrates the power of relating authentically with a clear purpose. Specific content can be tailored to suit the needs of particular audiences. Emerging non-profit leaders, for example, can learn how to simplify the processes of fundraising and building a powerful board of directors. Parents and service providers gain tools for creating lasting partnerships to expand their influence. Students benefit by learning a tried and true formula for effective action that will distinguish them as leaders in their schools and communities.
